It’s about time GPokr had it’s own blog. Sometimes I post in the forums and it lasts one day. These blog posts should stay viewable for at least a month in contrast.
So first order of business is January being done. This is the first month of the change over to the new technology. I’m very happy it’s complete since it lets me update and grow GPokr much more. Congrats to January’s winner: Chuna! Here are the top 5:

For February I managed to sqeeze in the raise fix – where you must raise at least the value of the previous raise/bet. This should stop those annoying $50 re-raises. You should also notice that players sitting at the table have their name hilited in the chat. The last addition is having a 3 month membership option for $10. This lets you start with $25,000 for 3 months.

Very nice… I am glad to see a gpokr blog. I wouldn’t mind either writing a little poker strategy section or perhaps comedy.

I’m very glad to read you fixed the raise ammount for february ! Not only small reraises are annoying, but it prevents typing mistakes when you want to double a 50k bet and only ends up raising 55k instead of 100k…
I hope you will work out the latency issues soon
Then gpokr will truely be the most pleasant site to play online poker.

i like the new sight ryan . also can you put the mute back on it there are some very annyoing young peope who just keep going also there was one person his name was deathwish that was taking about killing americans and had a picture on the twin towers blowing up very bad stuff i don,t no if this is the place to write this but i think you needed to know .on a great note i love playing the game ,keep up the good work and yes i am a memmber now

Hey Ryan, this is only my second month of gpokr and Im already hooked lol! Partly because of the poker, but partly because of all the great people Ive met here.
Can I just say youre doing a great job with the site, trying to resolve all the bugs cant be fun!!
I have to say I totally agree with aamike, we really need a player mute feature in the chat, and perhaps also a system of favourite list approval, because there are just too many users who follow others around tables abusing and harassing them with vulgar and offensive language. If you can manage this it would make the site a much nicer place to play.

- Would be nice to replay the top hands using video or at least a text file.
I like how my computer manages the cashing in the new version. CONGRATS!
- Have a playoff with the top 100 performers that for that calendar year. The prize could be a fancy medal with the year inside of it next to the star or something like that. Give them 24 – 48 hours on January 1st. You could invite your sponsors to view the play.

i thnk this is a great site to play ryan as far as a mute button i thnk we don’t need it , just remember u have the right not to answer the affensive person just like they don’t have right to respond , the person that was talking about death wish this is america i belive everyone has a right to there opionion but i don’t think that was a nessarry for that person to make commements like that. if u want to put a boot button on the tables soif the whole table or the majority does not like the person then they can be booted

Nice spot to play even for the beginner like me. I agree with Leilu. Some of the language is unbelievably vulgar. Some of the pics, too.
